TRANSACTIONAL MANAGER
Due to business growth, we're currently recruiting for an exciting new role of Transactional Supervisor. As a key member of the Finance Team this role will have responsibility to ensure that the day to day, weekly and monthly transactions are processed in a timely manner and queries are cleared.
The role will encompass the following key responsibilities:
Day to day management of the sales ledger and purchase ledger assistants.
Detailed reviews of each of the ledgers on a monthly basis to ensure queries or problems are being resolved in a timely manner.
Support the assistants in presenting a review of the sales and purchase ledgers to the Financial Controller and Finance Director on a monthly basis.
Escalation of old debts to the Financial Controller, Commercial Team and Finance Director.
To ensure changes in credit limits are being updated in the systems and that debtors exceeding the credit limit are escalated to the Financial Controller, Commercial Team and Finance Director.
To review credit notes being requested by the Credit Control Assistant to ensure they have been checked, they are valid and appropriately authorised.
To review sales invoicing discrepancies or errors and resolve in a timely manner.
To oversee the collation of the payment runs and complete a 1st level review through cross checking the suggested payment run back to the purchase ledger to ensure overdues are being paid and account debits are being allocated.
Ownership of the un-approved invoice list and to proactively chase to resolve outstanding matters. All queries to be resolved within 10 working days to ensure invoices can be processed on the ledger.
Timely shut down of the sales and purchase ledgers to support the month end timetable.
To control, maintain and improve the standing data in the system to enable efficient ways of working, e.g. customer and suppler terms correct.
To complete the weekly employee payroll run in accordance with the timetable.
To submit pension uploads and to reconcile the control account.
Completion of VAT return for Joseph Heler Limited.
1st stage inputting of the milk calculation for Joseph Heler Limited for review. This involves the importing of milk delivered and the milk qualities into a bespoke payment package. The milk receipts and milk quality data is then reviewed in detail and anomalies investigated. Presentation of draft payment statements to Financial Controller and Milk Purchasing Manager.
Maintain a hard copy month end audit file. This should contain a balance sheet and the completion of balance sheet reconciliations for all nominal balance sheet accounts. This will include reconciliation of:
Sales and purchase ledgers to the nominal.
Bank accounts.
Invoice discounting account.
pension control account.
VAT accounts
Collation of other supporting paperwork from other team members including fixed assets, accruals and prepayments, wages control accounts etc.
Review and control over petty cash.
Support to the fullest extent Year End and Bank Audits including the Bank sales ledger audits.
