QA AUDITOR

Due to substantial business growth within a rapidly evolving manufacturing site, a QA Auditor role has arisen within a new and growing Quality Team.
This role will require a proactive and hands on approach working within a production environment. This individual will need to have a positive and constructive approach towards H&S, Food Safety and Quality, whilst communicating and liaising between the production and Quality team. Honesty and transparency is absolute paramount, to ensure site compliance, whilst ensuring teams are valued, engaged and encouraged to escalate any issue or potential for improvement. This role will report into the QA Manager.
The main roles and responsibilities of this role will include:
· Routine monitoring and verification of site food safety/ quality compliance, to include constructive walk arounds, GMP (hygiene & housekeeping), traceability and process record compliance.
· Effective non-conformance management for internal process and packaging digressions and complaints, to include root cause analysis with relative teams. All recommendations and corrective actions to be communicated effectively for review.
· Verification of HACCP/ CCP's/ Food Safety standards across full product range on a regular basis, under guidance from Quality Assurance Manager
· Conduct routine audits against Quality schedule to include internal audits, glass & brittle plastic audits, Daily Checks, GMP and Food Safety/ HACCP/ Quality audits.
· Participate and support with external pest control and biologist audits for the site, including corrective actions.
· Effective monitoring of both QAS and Line/ visual Standards, and ensuring both practical and written compliance is in place across the site.
· Assisting with creating, updating and implementing of Standard Operating Procedures (SOP’s), Visual Guides, One Point Lessons (OPL’s) and QAS.
· Review & update Quarantine/ on hold stock information with the production/ QA team.
· Training and support of QMS policies/ procedures.
· Participate and support within other Quality functions and activities, including laboratory sampling and testing.
This position is predominantly Monday- Friday and is based on 3 different shifts (early, mid & evening), which rotate across a cycle of 3 weeks, to include 1 in 3 Saturdays working.
Ideally from a QA and food manufacturing background, with a general understanding of Food Safety/ HACCP and GMP.
